Here Jim Beck
presents one
of the prestigious awards given out at the state
tournament. Not so necessarily every year, but when one
seams deserving by the past Rollie Williams
recipients. This year the award went to Dave Jarrett. Dave is a certified Safety Director, a Level One
Instructor, a Trained Driver, Has been directly involved with the
Disabled Clinics, he was IWSA's NSL skier of the year in
2003, in 2004 he took a chair on IWSA's board and never
misses a beat. He is the founding organizer and currently
runs the Fairland's Monday Night Ski League, Organizer and
Director of all NSL clinics and tournaments in the whole
Indy area, this year he started a guest night for skiers
at a select few private ski sites. In 2006 he was USA
Water Ski's NSL Coordinator of the year, Dave put on 12
NSL events, 3 more than anyone else in the entire country.
Organizer and Promoter of the Spring Fling, He Coordinates
IWSA info at the local boat dealers and boat shows.
Contributing photographer to the IWSA web site, shows up
at some tournaments just to take pictures, which several
have been published in Water ski Magazine. Takes
everyone's picture from start to finish at all your state
tournaments. As you can see, even though Dave has been
with us for a short period of time compared to many of the
other recipients, Dave tirelessly promotes the sport at
the grassroots level, which is our only hope to bring new
blood to IWSA. Congratulations Dave Jarrett.. |
