Rollie Williams was an active ski enthusiast who was a big
part of organizing and heading up the Indiana State Water ski Club.
The Indiana Water Ski Association presents the Rollie Williams
Memorial Award to an outstanding member of the Indiana State Ski Club. The award
recipient is selected
by a substantial majority of past award recipients desiring
to be active in the selection process and willing to support the tradition that
the award recipient remains undisclosed until the presentation is made at the
Saturday evening banquet during the Indiana State Championships. The Inscription on the award reads,
"Rollie Williams Memorial Awarded To: An outstanding member of the I.W.S.A. who through his
display of sportsmanship and leadership promoted the sport of water skiing in
the state of Indiana in a matter characteristic of the late Rollie Williams." |
