Here last years recipient presents the Rollie Williams award to Sam Schmitt of Timberlake in Evansville In. Sam has been a big part of skiing in Indiana. Was one of the first to upgrade their tow boat to an inboard while skiing on the Ohio River. Sam was one of the first to get on the Master Craft promotional program and has been a loyal member for 28 years. Sam holds his senior judges rating and he and his wife Cheryl and son Clay have yet to miss a state championship. Sam and his family travel to many water ski functions through out the state. You'll see him and his boat at many of the IWSA clinics, as well as tournaments. Sam is a regular on the IWSA board of directors and currently heads up the trick clinics. In the fall when everyone else is recovering from a busy summer Sam attends collegiate tournaments to offer his boat as well as his judgeship.
