 Barb Miller Memorial Scholarship Recipient

Kurtis Threlkeld

  The second recipient of the Barb Miller Memorial Scholarship is Kurtis Threlkeld. Kurtis son of Dick and Michelle, has been actively skiing  for some time.  When Kurtis wasn't working on the family farm you could find him on the lake water skiing at Sugar Creek in Thorntown where they have held many tournaments in the past along with hosting the Indiana State Tournament. He currently sits on the IWSA board  and is very active representing collegiate skiing to the Indiana Water Ski Ass.  board of directors.  He's attending Purdue University and is very much a part of representing the Purdue Ski Team and is in the works of of having Indiana host the first Purdue Alumni tournament.  He can ski all three events but is one of Purdue's premiere jumpers.  He was fortunate for the Boilermakers to earn the trip to the 03 Collegiate Nationals by winning the Mid West Regional collegiate  tournament.
