September 3, 2026 IWSA Board Meeting Minutes
Indiana Water Ski Association Board of Directors Meeting.
September 3rd, 2026
Place: Telephone Conference Call
Attending: Dave Jarrett Katie McCollough, Kim Contos, Jeff Cross, Paul Manning, Don Bucher, Codi Sharkey, Randy Sharkey, Kent Hoops, Maggie Cramer, Dan Reed.
1. Call to Order: 7:00 PM
2. Sponsorship Levels: Sponsorship levels will be agreed to as decided at the May meeting.
a. Low level sponsor $100
b. Mid level sponsor $250
c. Upper level sponsor $300
3. Bart’s recently wrote a sponsorship check for $1,000. This was a great surprise to IWSA.
4. Awards: Don Bucher moved to donate $1,000 to Kodiak Lake for their hosting the 2026 Indiana State Championships. Paul Manning seconded the motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
5. Adult Medals: There was much discussion about the expense of awarding medals at the State Championships. The discussion was finally tabled with the understanding that we would look into finding possibly lower cost alternatives for the 2027 State Championships.
6. The date for the Fall Banquet/Awards will be November 7th, 2026. Place to be decided.
a. Hall of Fame nominees should be submitted to Kati McCollough. Randy Sharkee is the Hall of Fame chairperson.
b. Suggestions for participant awards should be submitted to Dave Jarrett. (form included)
7. Informal Discussions:
a. 2027 State Championships location
i. Not Cindonway, not Timberlake, Possibly Kodiak Lake.
ii. Vice President Paul Manning stated that he has retired his water skis but still willing to serve on board.
iii. Dan Reed continues to serve on the board but would like to have someone shadowing him for future work.
iv. 2027 Nationals location – undecided
v. 2027 Regionals location – Wilmington
