Monday Night Ski League Returns
Back
by popular demand. Are you bored on Monday evenings. Join other
water skiers for a set of water skiing and instruction at
various water ski sites around Central Indiana. One set of 6
pulls and instruction is $20 and an additional set, if time and
schedules allow, is $10. Get a feel of slalom
|

course skiing
at other lakes to help better your skiing. The schedule as of to

Kodiak Lake Open House
| All IWSA members are
invited to celebrate Kodiak Lake's Grand Opening on Sunday, May 20.
Starts at 12 PM, photo shoot 1 PM to 3 PM with some very special
guest skiers. Then skiing all day. Food is provided, just bring lawn
chairs and skis. Directions at

Slalom Clinic with Noah Vieke
Many of you know who Noah Vieke is
but I wanted to update you on what he has been doing.
Noah has been training with Chet Raley for over four
years. Last year, he began working full-time for Chet as
his driver, and coaching assistant. He continues to
train under Chet as well. Again, he will be conducting a
clinic on July 5 & 6th from 8:00 - 5:00. We would like
to invite you to schedule a time slot or two to ski with
Noah. Slots are filling up quickly and we will likely
have to stop taking reservations in early June. If you
are interested in getting on the schedule, please
contact Andy at your earliest convenience @ 317.502.5185

The cost is $60.00 per set. Each skier is responsible to
bring their own equipment (ski, rope, vest, handle, food
and drinks). We are booking 35 - 40 sets
total for
this
event

(15-20 per day). I look

Indy Skiers Suffer Set Back
As if mother nature wasn't enough of an
adversary, the economy and crime have raised their ugly head. At
last night's Indy Skiers spring meeting, they discovered that
the 30 foot aluminum ramp for the dock has been stolen. The ramp
was kept in a locked chain link fence enclosure at the site. It
was hoped that a vandalizm spree might be to blame but damage to
other items was evident. The Indiana State Police appeared at
the meeting for the police

report and told horror stories of
other incidents of crime and theft. The director of the Municpal Gardens
site also reported that $80,000 worth of air conditioner units have been
stolen from the building this past winter. It would have taken numerous
people to have removed that ramp. (It took 8 workers to get it into the cage
for storage. It most probably was cut up and sold for scrap as aluminum and
other metals are very valuable in the present economy. Not to linger in
depression, the Indy Skiers discussed construction of a new ramp perhaps
made of less valuable materials and different design.

PineCrest Marine. This boat sparkles
and it's got the splashiest steering wheel in the marine industry!
We'll be seeing a lot of Neal and his new boat this summer as he
will be pulling various tournaments around the state. Neal and his
clubmates are 'gearing up' for the 2012 tournament season. There
have been several of the Silent Shores team members at various
spring clinics. |

Clinic for 2012 which was held on April 21st, 2012 in Indianapolis.
Along with a few new faces the participants included Jenni Lambert,

He's Back
Ski Klub Of Indianapolis
has an exciting opportunity for skiers of all
abilities. Seth Stisher, pro water skier and
coach, will once again be leading a slalom
clinic at the lake in Shelbyville on July 19th,
20th, 21st .
Cost for this
event is $170. This includes two 30-minute
coaching sets in one day, and yes, you can sign
up for more than one day. We will run a morning,
an afternoon, and an evening session all three
days. We have time slots for only 27 skiers (9
per day). USA Water Skiing membership
required. $50 non-refundable deposit due at
sign-up. Balance due July 1st.

Monday Night Ski League
Monday Night Ski League is forming for the
2012 season. The letters are out to Central Indiana area ski
clubs and the responses are starting to arrive. A new
destination to look forward to will be
Emerald Lake out Northeast in addition to other sites
like
Silent Shores and
Fairland Ski Club. Monday Night Ski League is
entering its 7th year of introducing water skiers to tournament
sites with on water instructions. Have you ever wanted to enter
a tournament
