Patricia C. “Patti” Danford, 59, Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully after a long, hard-fought illness on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 16, 1956 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Arthur H. and Ann Marie I. (Detloff) Stillwell.  

She married Thomas S. Danford on September 11, 1982. Patti loved lake living, boating, all things tropical, and just being by the water.  She loved animals and had a fondness of seahorses.  Patti was extremely caring and generous with a great sense of humor that will truly be missed.

Surviving is her loving husband, Thomas S. Danford of Angola; two sons, James R. Danford and Keith A. Danford of Angola; one daughter, Cherish N. Danford of Muncie; one brother, Arthur H. Stillwell of Fremont; two sisters, Sharon A. (Tom Coarse) Divis of Justice, Illinois and April J. Herron of Fremont. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana with Reverend Thomas E. Smith officiating. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Glendarin Hills Golf Club, Angola, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patti’s memory to the Steuben County Humane Society.

The super spring weather brought out the skiers in central Indiana over the weekend.  The Fairland Ski Club got their course installed on Sunday, April 17th thanks to old and new members Dave and Chris.  Of course first in the water behind the Ski Nautique was Bill Roach.  Fairland Ski Club is one of Indiana's oldest ski clubs operating continuously for 30 odd years in the same location.  They have acquired some new members for the 2016 season but still have room for a couple more.  Contact Dan Federspill at 317-431-9778.
