South Bend-Sandra Kay Sharkey, 69, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Sandra was born on August 5, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN to Lewis and Margaret (Sommers) Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randal Lord. Surviving are her son, Cody Sharkey of Mishawaka; sister, Robin and Glenn Huhnke of Hanna, IN, brother, Micheal and Sindi Lord of Knox, IN. Also surviving is her ex-husband Randy Sharkey. She was a member of Women’s Club of South Bend, Indiana Water Ski Association, and attended St. Peter United Church of Christ. A Memorial service will be on Saturday, December 17 at 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior in St. Peter United Church of Christ, 915 N. Ironwood Dr., South Bend, with Rev. Scott Bowie officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
