"The Nautique Swervin' Weekend event was held at Hawthorn Lake on June 2nd and June 3rd. Saturday conditions were sublime replaced on Sunday with lots of wind. Coaching by Zack Wordon and driving by the Dettys made for a perfect team effort."

The IWSA sponsored Safety Clinic was conducted on Sunday, June 3rd at the Detty residence on Hawthorn Lake. Dan Van Dyke came from Michigan to instruct both in the classroom and the pool. Approximately 12 participants enjoyed the instruction and lunch provided by the Nautique Swervin' Weekend team A couple of participants did ski later in the afternoon. Thanks to the Dettys for their hospitality. Perfect weather and ideal water conditions favored the 2018 Indiana Water Ski Spring Fling held at Brewski Lake on June 2nd. 40 burgers and a like number of hot dogs and drinks disappeared! Youngest skier was 1 1/2 year old Connely Clark! It was rewarding to see some Indy Skiers and some "experienced" skiers from Ski Klub of Indiana and even a couple of guests from Lake Santee. Mucho thanks to drivers and coaches Lambert and Clark and hats off to grill master Tom Ryder. Next scheduled event is the Junior Development Clinic on June 14-15 at Hawthorn Lake. |
