Can you believe that David Marbaugh, a first time tournament participant, was the winner of the Hoosier Buoy Tour #1! As soon as he learned how to count to 6, he improved with each set! Second place went to David Miller and 3rd place went to Aaron Hutton. 18 skiers enjoyed the hospitality and smooth water at Brewski Lake. Thanks to Mastercraft and Malibu for providing ski boats for the event. The lake stayed busy after the awards with barefooterw, trikers, and even a tuber made their appearances. Next Hoosier Buoy Tour event will be at Boondocks Lake (Morton Lake) on July 5th. The 19th annual Rehabilitation Hospital Adaptive Water Ski Event was held on June 18th and 19th. Thanks to Mid Indiana Marine for loaning out a new Malibu TXI ski boat and to Pinecrest Marine for loaning out a new MasterCraft Prostar ski boat for the enjoyment of all skiers. Also thanks to all the volunteers for helping with water ski set ups on shore and volunteer drivers and boat crews. It was a typical Scott Tynan Day at Sawmill Lake on June 14th. 48 degrees in the morning then blossomed into a perfect sunny 80 degree day with skier perfect conditions. Several "PBs" were skied by various participants during the day. In addition to the usual Nautique towboat, the tournament officials allowed Neal Clark's new Mastercraft to be used for section of the tournament! The next tournaments in June include a Grassroots event on June 21st and the Silent Shores class C on June 28th. Don't wait until the last moment to sign up! First came the treats...3 or 4 different kinds of fruits for breakfast along with coffee, rolls, doughnuts, etc. Then for lunch came the pizza, salad snacks, etc, Don't forget the 17 different kinds of drinks. And of course, table cloths with center pieces......OMG!....Nancy Harrison out did herself! Now add the trick lessons both behind the boat and practices on land between sets. It was a full house for the IWSA sponsored Trick Ski Clinic. Several beginner skiers and experienced skiers enjoyed the waters at Brewski Lake. Several Indy Skiers showed up after their work session in the morning and gained a pointer or two. Thanks to the Harrisons for a productive day.
