In a word.....wet!.....describes the last Indiana water ski tournament of 2016! It drizzled, it misted, it poured, it R-A-I-N-E-D! There were a few breaks in the day but every skier got to ski in the rain in at least one of the 3 rounds! The weather did not stop the drivers, judges, and scorer from doing their assigned jobs. Except for 2 brief "time outs," the event ran non-stop during the day ending about 6:00 PM. The weather didn't phase the youngsters as they swam and jumped off the boat house all day and invented a Gatorade Bottle game. World record holder Nate Smith was on hand to do driving and judging but he still is not skiing. The skies did clear up at the end of the day for the traditional BBQ supper put on by one of the generous Sawmill residents.
